General Standard Terms and Conditions (AGB)
of Goliath Verlagsgesellschaft mbH
§ 1 Applicability
For the business relation between Goliath Verlagsgesellschaft mbh (hereinafter referred to as: Vendor) and the orderer, the following general terms and conditions apply.
§ 2 Order
With your order, you submit to us a binding offer to close a contract with you. In case of ordering over our Onlineshop www.goliathbooks.com, the order procedure includes a total of 17 steps:
1st Step: Select the goods desired
2nd Step: Actuation of the button "Into the shopping basket"
3rd Step: Select "Continue shopping" or "Show shopping basket"
4th Step: In case of selecting "Show shopping basket": Check of the information in the shopping basket. Entry of possible voucher numbers. Selection of the type of payment.
6th Step: After selection of the type of payment, actuation of the button "Proceed to cash desk".
7th Step: Selection options customer/registration:
a) New customer (with or without generation of a customer account): Continue with Step 8.
b) Already registered customer: Please log in and continue with Step 12.
8th Step: With selection of the "Continue" button: Selection between private or company customer
with selection "Generate customer account"
9th Step: Input of applicant information and e-mail address (or create option for the generation
of a customer account over checkbox using a password)
10th Step: Option of data entry of a different delivery address
11th Step: Complete registration
12th Step: Activate the AGB read "Checkbox"
13th Step: Repeat check and correction of the respective data entered.
14th Step: Repeat control-check and type of payment selection option
15th Step: Repeat check and correction of the shopping basket and the total
16th Step: Actuation of the button "Order with liability to pay". In case of cash in advance, termination of the order process. Otherwise you are further routed to the type of payment selected.
17th Step: Before the binding dispatch of the order, by activating the "Back" key included in the Internet browser used by you (after control-check of your information again), you can return to the Internet page on which your customer data was registered and correct entry errors or interrupt the order procedure through closing the Internet browser.
§ 3 Contract closing
With an order, you close a contract with
Goliath Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Eckenheimer Landstr. 352, 60435 Frankfurt/Main. With the dispatch of a confirmation of order by e-mail to you or the delivery of the ordered goods, we can accept this offer. First of all, you receive an automatically-sent confirmation of the receipt of your order by e-mail to the e-mail address indicated by you (order confirmation). However, a purchase contract comes into being only with the delivery of the ordered goods. The language available for the contract closing is German.
§ 4 Reservation of unavailability
We reserve the right to reject an implementation of your order if we do not have the ordered title in stock, if the title not in stock is out of print with the publisher and due to that the ordered goods are unavailable. In this case, we will inform you immediately about the unavailability and, as appropriate, immediately reimburse any purchase price already paid by you.
§ 5 Dispatch charges
The book dispatch within Germany is basically free of any dispatch charge. Dispatch charges to all other countries are listed in detail in our category "Dispatch charge".
§ 6 Payment
You have the following payment options: Debit entry, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro), PayPal and Advance Payment.
Payment with credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro)
In the order step "Type of payment", select "Card". We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro. Enter your credit card data on our payment page. We have available modern security server software with SSL encryption which protects your card data against monitoring and manipulation during the transfer.
Payment by PayPal
In the order step "Type of payment", select "PayPal". You are forwarded automatically to PayPal. If you are already a PayPal customer, you can register there with your user data and confirm the payment. If you do not yet have a PayPal account, you can open a PayPal account and then confirm the payment. Credit entries from returns are always booked back onto the PayPal account employed for the purchase.
Payment by Advance Payment
In the order step "Type of payment", select "Advance Payment" and conclude the order. You are provided with our bank details and the order number in our e-mail acknowledgement which is sent automatically. Directly after your order, please transfer the total amount directly to the following account with specification of the order number:

Possible credit transfer charges, as well as bank expenses, are borne by the customer. We dispatch your order as soon as the payment has been received on our account. Credit entries from returns are transferred to the account from which the initial order was paid.
Payment by credit card
During the checkout step "payment" – please select the option "credit card".
We accept the following credit cards:
VISA, MASTER CARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS
Please enter your card details on our payment site. GOLIATH uses server security software with SSL encryption which provides the safe and bug-proof transmission of your card details. Refunds from returns will always be charged back on to the credit card that the original order was paid for with.
Payment by PayPal
Please select "PayPal" as your payment method and you will be transferred to the PayPal site automatically. If you have an existing PayPal account, you can log in using your user data to confirm the payment. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can register one and proceed with the payment. Refunds from returns will be booked onto the registered PayPal account.
Payment by Wire Transfer (Pre Payment)
In our checkout – step "payment" – please select "wire transfer" and finalize your order.
You will then receive a confirmation that will be sent automatically by email stating our banking details as well as the order number.
Upon submitting your order, please transfer the overall amount to the following account and state the order number:

Possible transfer costs as well as bank fees will be charged to the customer.
Your order will be dispatched upon receipt of payment on our account.
Refunds from returns will be charged-back to the bank account which the original order was paid from.
Bank transfers and prepayments from Switzerland will be charged with an additional fee of 15 CHF per order, due to higher banking charges.
§ 7 Reservation of ownership
Until for the final fulfillment of the purchase money claim by the orderer, the supplied goods remain the property of the vendor.
§ 8 Orders to Correctional Facilities
We will not ship to US correctional facilities. Please provide an alternative shipping address. Because individual rules and regulations of correctional institutes are beyond our reasonable control, we are not liable for and therefore never obliged to compensation of any kind for loss or damage of orders that are sent to correctional facilities.
